This year, BaselWorld is being held in a new facility where over 100,000 visitors from around the globe and 1,815 exhibitors are expected to attend. This week, Team iW buckled up and headed for Basel to bring you exclusive coverage from your favorite brands, technologies and people.

What an incredible experience! My first ever Baselworld. The excitement is overwhelming and the brands truly put on a quite show. So far my Basel trip has been a learning experience as I dive into brand meetings and review incredible new product. The brand booths are beyond words. Each one more outrageous and glamorous than the next.

Sitting with brand representatives and presidents I am immediately thrown into the world of watches. As I’m walked through the new collection I can’t help but ohhhh and ahhh at what is truly art. The highlight for the show for me thus far is putting faces to names. The contacts that I deal with on a day to day basis are finally in real life!!!

Swiss life is incredible. Everyone is so kind and excited to meet the iW crew. The food is fabulous and the culture is so refreshing. Our accommodations are totally ideal, bunking up with the whole team in Nola, our Swiss correspondents, actual apartment building! What more could you ask. If I wasn’t a coffee drinker pre-Basel, I definitely am now. You must live on caffeine to make it through the show!

Evening events are a blast as we rub shoulders with the industry celebs. I couldn’t be more honored to be a part of the esteemed iW team and I look forward to the rest of my BaselWorld 2013 experience.
