About Jewels in Paradise

Since the 1960s, Jewels in Paradise has been a purveyor of fine timepieces and brilliant jewelry, outfitting and educating residents and visitors to the island of Jamaica on the wonders and complexities of horology. Jewels in Paradise is a family-owned establishment, and Deepak and Manu Khiatani welcome clients into two warm and inviting showrooms: in the Shoppes at Rose Hall in Montego Bay and in the Historic Port of Falmouth. Under the leadership of the Khiatanis and Dhiraj Doshi, general manager and watch buyer for Jewels in Paradise, a team of eighteen individuals has successfully forged relationships with customers from all points around the world as they celebrate the evolution, innovation and artistic qualities of exceptional wristwear.

Doshi’s appetite for the watch industry is palpable, and he delights in helping clients navigate the stores’ selection of prestigious and technically sophisticated timepieces by elite manufacturers. Audemars Piguet, Jaeger-LeCoultre, A. Lange & Söhne, IWC and Bell & Ross are among the represented marques, as are the handsome and sporty collections by Oris, Longines and Citizen. Doshi shares with great enthusiasm that the horological interests of the company’s clientele are quite varied, and he reinforces the importance of well-informed associates to address questions and offer guidance throughout the Jewels in Paradise experience.

He adds, “We understand the complexities of choosing a timepiece—from an investment standpoint to aesthetics and beyond.”

As an authorized dealer of some of the most respected watch brands in the industry, each associate participates in a multitude of horological experiences to ensure their preparedness in representing them. Understanding the intricate language of horology requires dedication. From brand-led trainings, to in-house instruction and avid following and participation in web-based watch forums, Jewels in Paradise’s team thoughtfully exercises this commitment. In addition, managers visit at least one manufacture per year to gain further insight into the sophisticated production processes behind each marque.

The company’s two locations offer captivating, yet relaxed, environments for watch exploration. While they both reflect a modern aesthetic, the ambiance within each showroom is unique. Jewels in Paradise’s Montego Bay location stands within the famous Shoppes at Rose Hall and was designed in rich warm tones with cherry and oak-stained showcases throughout. The company’s second store is positioned at the Historic Port of Falmouth, the Royal Caribbean Cruise Terminal, and is outfitted with a monochromatic theme. Gradients of light, neutral colors permeate the store, and expertly appointed lighting allows the focus to be placed on the jewels and timepieces on display. Shop-in-shops for a number of the company’s fine watch brands are integrated into the stores’ floor plans, projecting the distinct characteristics of each represented collection.

Among the founding values of Jewels in Paradise is a commitment to the highest standards of service and care, a cornerstone that Deepak and Manu Khiatani have successfully instilled company-wide. They cater to a global audience, as many clients first discover Jewels in Paradise while on vacation, bringing home exceptional timepieces and the foundation for an engaging relationship. And by enlisting the power of technology, Jewels in Paradise’s associates are able to strengthen and maintain relationships long after clients return home from Jamaica. There are many channels through which Jewels in Paradise engages its community of watch enthusiasts: personalized correspondence, monthly digital newsletters, an active voice across social media platforms, regular updates on industry happenings, new timepiece introductions and more.

Communication and outreach certainly extend beyond the digital world at Jewels of Paradise. The retailer regularly hosts special events and experiences for its dedicated collectors. One of the recent gatherings, coined “Wine and Watches,” brought an intimate group of collectors to a chateau in Bordeaux with Jaeger-LeCoultre. Other elite experiences include a trip for two of its most VIP couples to the Venice Film Festival, and a star-studded golf clinic with brand ambassadors from Audemars Piguet’s impressive partner roster.

Jewels in Paradise’s success may be attributed to nearly 60 years of exceptional customer service, a family atmosphere, and passionately curated watch collections—an experience not to miss when your travels take you to Jamaica.
